Hi, I’m Marisa McKaye! I’m a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, and music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I started writing songs and performing when I was young, and by age 11, I was already co-writing and performing at the Bluebird Cafe. I became a regular at the Sunday night writer’s rounds and, at 15, became the youngest person to host my own round at the venue. Since then, I’ve spent years writing, performing, and finding new ways to grow as an artist.
I’ve written and co-written over 400 original songs, competed on a Netflix reboot of Star Search, Season 12 of America’s Got Talent and Season 19 of American Idol, and had the opportunity to perform at places like the Country Music Hall of Fame, Penn State THON, and Seacrest Studios. I’ve also performed with Song Suffragettes since I was 12 and performed regularly at Margaritaville and Big Machine Distillery for years. From songwriter rounds to band shows and acoustic gigs, I’ve had the chance to play at so many different venues around Nashville and meet some amazing people along the way.
Music has taken me in so many directions, but songwriting has always been at the center of it all. I love getting to share my songs, collaborate with other writers, and connect with people through music. I’m excited to keep putting myself out there, creating new things, and seeing where this journey takes me.
Thanks for being here and following along!
